Russia/DPR/LPR has taken what, something like 200 settlements? I lost count already.

There are a few which are too big to take by force and are left surrounded in the rear, but they aren't an issue. They will just stay surrounded until the war ends and there is a political settlement. Could be a long wait for them, but it's better than getting rekt Mariupol style.

Almost 50 days and no important city is under control. Good job.

I know you would love for all the world to be as ignorant as you are, but luckily it's not the case.

That would be a dark world indeed, if everyone were just like you.

Gee, who would have thought that a country ran by a bunch of radicalized and hateful neo-nazi zealots would drive itself into the edge of oblivion and commit mass seppuku on behalf of their American masters just to do some minor damage to Russia?

Minor damage ?? the sanctions are going to be there for quite a while. my own view is they are going to do average damage in the short term until russia opens/finds new markets outside of the west ( i accept this probably won't take too long ). There is a big difference between minor and average.

Mariupol? Kherson?

Or does Russia only win if they take Kiev according to you?

The damage done to their military is so far quite minor compared to the size of the overall operation.

The economic damage is more significant, but this will basically be nullified in the long-run as Russia strengthens ties with China (and other friendly countries) and completely ends any reliance they once had on western imports, making them fully self-sufficient and independent from those whom would try to use economic blackmail to force them into submission.

Mariupol isn't. What about Tchernihiv, Kharkiv and Odessa? Not to mention reatreat from Kyiv.

Mariupol isn't fully under Russian control yet. It's taking Russia's best and most well equipped forces 7+ weeks to clear Mariupol, likely taking heavy casualties in the process

If NATO or even the US on its own attacked a city like Mariupol it would have been over in a week. Russia's reputation as a country with military strength has been utterly crushed

Russia equipment losses - 2757, of which: destroyed: 1446, damaged: 39, abandoned: 234, captured: 1038

Seems significant to me. All visually confirmed

Sounds to me like you finally realized your CNN-regurgitated talking points are worthless and not befitting of a so-called Libertarian.

I must say, I'm proud of you

It's simply amazing.

To be fair, they've had time to prepare. It took the Marines a month to clear Fallujah.

And that was after they had carpet bombed the city into oblivion and killed a sizeable chunk of the local population before even going in.

A tactic which Russia has so far refused to use on areas populated by civilians, by the way, even knowing it will increase their own losses.

It significantly slows you down when you're trying your best to not raze a city to the ground and minimise civilian casualties
