Its this weird thought process where people can think that their current thought process is the only imaginable and correct view, even if it contradicts what everyone for years or decades or centuries or millenia has believed, even if they themselves believed something contradictory a few months ago. Same thing as the new gender orthodoxy. I mean, the people who advocate for bombing moscow by insisting Russia poses no significant retaliatory threat (while China overtly allies with them) were just a couple years ago saying Russia will lose a conventional proxy war if we simply back Ukraine with a restrained batch of small arms, being unwilling to give them tanks for fear of it being escalatory, the same tanks Russia now parades in the streets of moscow as war trophies

And just to put a point on that, its not like the Russian FM spokeswoman just directly said today that Russia will strike British targets beyond Ukraine if British weapons strike Russia, and China has surrounded Taiwan with a huge fleet of warships at the same time
But yeah plunging off the cliff is definitely the right call here

Storm Shadows that were going to take down the Crimea bridge but only managed to punch holes in some other bridges (that were repaired) and never even struck the Crimea bridge IIRC

We don't hear anymore about those systems, what happened, is the UK out of Storm Shadows or do they all get intercepted by the Russians?
