She was an angry and emotional bystander who was swearing at them, the only piece of medical advice she could muster was to ask them to do something they were already doing (taking his pulse), and she admitted in her testimony she was unqualified and unequipped to resuscitate him anyway, and that she'd just call real EMTs. Like they already had. And she said she had no identification on her at all. So basically, there was nothing to distinguish her from any other bystander. She was rightly told off that if she was a firefighter, she should know better than to harass the police.

You only think I'm simplistic because you shut down when I ask you to consider a nuanced position. Same thing you're doing with snipa right now. He's giving you a nuanced position based on their duty of car, and you can only see it as him arguing that the cops murdered Floyd.

I disagree, I think a reasonable person can identify a reasonable bystander able to help. If someone is exhibiting medical distress in a restaurant and a guy pops up and says "I'm a doctor, get out of the way", I'm inclined to believe him. And if police were there, they'd be able to judge his credibility pretty quickly based on basic questions and his demeanor and actions. Its not foolproof, there's an element of good faith that can be exploited- a confidence man like Frank Abagnale could fake it. But in general, life experience lets people know when someone will actually be able to help.

The woman shrieking at the police from the peanut gallery and calling them bitches while saying they should check his pulse, while they're checking his pulse, is clearly not. Especially when she states she's a firefighter not an EMT.
Doesn't take much to figure she's going to be a hindrance not help
