it does not matter what you believe or what is factual. The Ukrainian Gov. posted something "Official". It is the Ukrainian Gov. and only the Ukrainian Gov. that can amend, retract, expand or change its "Official" statement, whatever that statement relates to. So, if Ukraine states the Official numbers of dead is 2 people, then that is the Official statement, it does not matter if it is removed from reality. There are better hills to die on Djunior! He won this argument against you. again, its a word game.

The statement is false, because shoigu on 2 occasions has mentioned russian casualties. Once in 2022 and once in 2023

The Russian defense ministry does not disclose that data (according to themselves), if you have an old figure i'd be open to seeing it though, maybe its changed over the course of the war.

There is however an official number by one of the partys involved.



So just to be clear, you don't disagree with this statement: "The only official numbers of dead soldiers come from Ukraine"?

to be honest I still side with Hobbiks here on the basis that he was trying to catch Djunior out and Djunior's argument was not sound. While Russia could also release "Official" estimates of Ukrainian dead, this was not Djunior's argument and there are issues with this rebuttal. I feel its a thought exercise / debate, on balance, I still agree with Hobbiks.

i once played a game in school, where two individuals sat beside each other and each had to ask the other a question. as soon as one student paused he was assigned to have lost and would be replaced by another student. It was an exercise to see who was the best student for thinking on the fly. When it was my turn I was asked "why" and my response was "why not". my opponent froze and then had a mickey fit after being asked to leave because he said my question was invalid.
