The problem with this conflict is that any military (or terrorist/freedom fighter w/e you want to call it) achievement by Ukraine will inevitably result in a Russian response. Russia has more men, more weapons and is more determined then the collective west to win the war. Escalations, on the part of the West, (tanks, missiles , you name it...troops) is betting on Russia balking. While Russia has been reluctant to escalate they have matched each escalation to date. There is no evidence of Russia balking. On and on it will go until we see a material change, and there is no evidence of a material change in 2024, other then Trump, and it remains to be seen what that does, if he does get elected.

Do you think that dropping pants, get on 4 legs, then saying "I would not escalate the situation" in front of a barbaric regime which systematically agressed its neightbors since decades and decades is a good "approach" ?

No, I dont. It would be idiotic to do that. But thats not what Ukraine did. To give you a more appropriate metaphor:

Do you think that divorcing your abusive husband, getting into bed with his enemy, killing the children you had with your ex-husband and then brandishing a knife while saying "I would not escalate the situation" is a good "approach" ?  There is something wrong with a country when it kills its own people. Just like the Israeli's are killing their own people for 70 years, just like the Ukrainians killed their own people for 8 years.

"but hamapalastinans are not Israeli" well, they live in Israel, so they are Israeli.
"but eastern ukrainians are not ukrainian" well, the world "ukraine" is contained in there.

Killing your own kids. for years. something seriously wrong there.

I am not sure what you want me to say, I have already said it before:

Ukraine is a smaller nation then Russia, they are desperate, they would get into bed with the devil, if the devil would help them. opening a safe route for these operatives / terrorists (probably paid / armed indirectly by the US) to flee to Ukraine, tbh, I really dont care if its true or not.

The real story to my mind is that this ISIS-K group appears affiliated with the US.

The US created ISIS(then ISIL) under the Obama administration. Just like Osama bin Laden was a CIA asset. The US always funds the groups that supplement their agenda/goals.

The United States military spent in excess of 7 trillion dollars in the ME and that money is still washing around.

I've said it a million times one of the main goals of the US was to DESTABILIZE not just the ME but Central/Eastern Asia. The entire continent.

We can take the subvert infiltration into our country because we created a power vacuum so big in the ME that no country can just "walk away".

The Hegelian Dialectic in full effect. I love when people criticize the US for "losing" the war in the ME but look at how we left it. Destroyed.

We even left billions of dollars worth of military equipment in Afghanistan. "US sucks! Haha you HAD to leave your equipment" more like "There's more equipment where that came from" and "Nothing beats powerful military equipment falling into the hands of the most hardened terrorist". Don't worry we built the biggest military installations on Earth smack dab in the ME.

Abusing husbands have to go to jail, but this comparison is wrong: Ukraine was already an sovereign country which even abandonned its soviet nuclear weapons: Such a mistake...
Ukraine did absolutely nothing wrong, Russia & Putin's elite on the other hand...

Why John Mearsheimer is at least 65 to 70% right.

Council of Foreign Affairs 1993

Abandoning of Nuclear Deterrent by Ukraine is a huge mistake.

I know you don't like lengthy articles. Just read the First two Paragraphs

Read article below. ^_^

This is a war, I leave morality at the door and I dont get worked up. We have been in this topic for 2 years now, Forward thinking has to accept that the shit could seriously hit the fan and we could have a world war on our hands. so terrorist acts, blowing up cities, these are small things. the serious things are when multiple countries start bombing each other, with unconventional weapons. The narrative in western media shows that there are actors with very little restraint, and there are bad actors adding fuel to the fire, which, seriously, is not helpful to anyone in the world in the long term. I dont want to be dramatic but we are seeing the escalation which was, magically, envisaged by users, last year, in this thread.

Yep I'm one of those and pointed this out from the start.

NATO's expansion you mean ;)

NATO welcoming Ukraine and Georgia in 2008 (crossing red line)

Euromaidan overthrow of Ukraine's president

Bluntly refusing negotiations in December 2021 despite the writing on the wall (Crimea annexed and ongoing fighting in Eastern Ukraine)

You're one of those who've been cheerleading every escalation, this very topic is proof

The damage done to Ukraine and it's population is catastrophic already and people like you refuse to even acknowledge it SMH

Ukrainians can't do what they want and dont know what's best for them: Nato decided at their place to quit the insanely fucked Putin's regime to join Europe.

Yay :clown:
