So theres definitely still enough of a cloud not to say with 100% surety who did this attack. Elements are either badly reported or don't make sense or were poorly thought up by the attackers (escape route). But ISIS is definitely consistent whether they were zealots or paid, though the latter will open endless conspiracy theories
I agree, this is a really weird situation and a lot of things don't really make sense.
If it was ISIS, why would there be talk of getting paid or running towards the border? That's really not their modus operandi. Typically the snackbars will kill as many as they can then make a stand until death. They also wouldn't be accepting or seeking payment for carrying out Jihad.
I don't think this was directed or backed by centralized Ukrainian intelligence either. They have next to nothing to gain from the attack. It actually would hurt the Ukrainian position because if it's shown this was backed by Ukraine, a lot of people across the globe actually would view Ukraine's cause negatively which could impact pro-Ukrainian support. This isn't guerilla warfare but barbary that no one would get behind. With that said, I do believe it's possible that some 'help' could in theory been offered on Ukraine's side but not coming from some centralized SBU or equivalent command.
The prior warning also is strange, so we gave them info and gave them a heads up that something will happen but then we didn't have the info on what/where/how? Ok... how does that work? Why would we posses some info but not the rest? How did they receive this info? What did they do with the info?
I don't know, we'll probably never truly know what happened. Insider false-flag also doesn't fully and up...unless this is used for wide scale mobilization? I do see the angle why the Russians would be pointing the finger towards Ukraine.
