Where is the straw? Why do you think Russia invaded? They been offering a peaceful alternatives to war for awhile what did Ukraine do? Were the demands that bad for Ukraine to sign a deal? what is your straw man argument ? Why should Ukraine take any demands from Russia?

All previously laid out in depth in this topic with supporting arguments from experts including Stephen Kotkin and Serhi Plokhy; Not too far back, a few pages in fact.

Putin has literally said last week that he has no intent on negotiating.

Now after how many deals made ..That Ukraine never planed on keeping.. Even the grain deal was broke in days flooding the EU market ... A little late to say Russia is not negotiating after all this time they tried to..

Perhaps. Is it honest will to negotiate while tanks mass at Ukraines border? I'd argue not.

I think negotiations should always be best option.. But after 1 side just breaks everyone of the negotiated terms over and over.. Seems reasonable to understand why Putin would say that ... Don't you think?

No. Putin said he won't negotiate because he believes Ukraine is running out of ammunition.

yeah he winning the war why would he even consider another deal that Ukraine most likely never plan to keep? When he can see the end of the tunnel ....Russia's production of ammo and tanks and shells out doing all of nato ... let alone what Ukraine has handy
