For the few I know these structures are large and you can "select" wich part of the plant you want to destroy: Logically the heating column (cracking the crude oil into different gas products) is a very sexy target

Does it stops Russians to collect and even sell crude barrels ? I'm not sure.

Ukraine targeting oil refineries just shows that this is simply an energy war being fought by uncle sam against Russia.

Awhile back Ukraine managed to strike (read: slightly damaged but still) a a50 awacs while it was in a hanger. This strike had a major impact on the front, while targeting Russian energy does nothing for Ukraine from a strategic standpoint.

lots of reasons for this war.. 1 could be Russia's production capabilities with Germanies technologies would be the only competition to America's trade dominance...But now seems to be China winning that war.. As we used sanctions to much as a weapon to influence countries political outcomes .. Still for Europe markets would of been bad if Russia and Germany teamed up..
