Continually contributing to inflation all across the globe (given how important stable energy supply is), including in the UK which has one of the higher inflation rates in the developed world at 4%, well above EU and US.

Got it.

What about Russia specifically?

Will it have any implications for the conventional war/front? In the sense that these drone strikes are non-conventional or asymmetrical.

I'd say it's fine, because in any case the sooner we stop relying on oil and gas globally the better.

Higher prices in Russia as well while they fix the refineries. Zero impact on the front. More AA/security around key installations.

Less reliance on oil and gas may be good in the long term but renewables are no where near as economical as they should be so we still need hydrocarbons at affordable prices. Less oil=prices up which then leads to those on the margins basically starving because oil is a key input to everything. But who cares about the poor people in Africa or Caribbean amiright?

What about the loss of oil revenues?

Is there a point to asking questions that are evident? Sure it's impacted but it's not as clear and linear as one may think. If global prices rise, they can now sell less and still reap the same revenues.

In theory that sounds great in reality countries in the EU had to fire up coal powered plants that were previously shut down

It is believed these countries have been infiltrated by Russian agents in the 70ties to start a long running campaign against the atomic power.

Its a discussion forum, I thought that was self evident.

Sounds like Russia could be behind drone strikes on its own refineries. Sell less oil, make the same revenue. 10d Chess again?

Or will this hurt Russian revenues more than it will impact anyone else through inflation?

They had to dismantle wind mill parks so they can mine the lignite (the shittiest of coals) from underneath that windmill park in 2022.
