You're not discussing anything. Lots of other people in this thread making cogent points about the conflict and musing on both the wider implications and the near term prognosis. You made a lot of posts in a row just saying you don't understand, you don't read comments, you don't know whats being discussed, you don't get the point. These are all you problems. Your understanding or approval isn't necessary. If you don't have anything to add, just read what the other folks have to say

Edit: Actually the level of ad-hominem you use is quite insulting but it appears its because you don't have anything to add. A bit like ferdia when pressed on his actual position there is no substance behind the claims.

Its interesting because France has the least skin in the game in Europe, but they probably the most to lose in its former colonies in the Sahel; Russian tanks would need to roll through a hell of a lot of central europe before they reached Paris. And yet Russian paramilitaries are counteracting French influence in its former African colonies.

It makes sense for Macron to take a strong posture in this way. What it actually means in literal terms remains to be seen.

"Russia has become a power that wants to expand and it's clear that it will not stop there," Macron posted on X. "If we abandon Ukraine, if we let Ukraine lose this war, Russia will surely threaten Moldova, Romania, Poland."
