What sealed it for me was the riots were against a law which stated any company operating in Georgia which was part owned by 25%? by a foreign state, had to declare itself. They rioted against that law and the law was not passed  that law already exists in the EU afaik. its such bullshit. AKA the US backed groups in Georgia rioted against a law which was designed to safeguard Georgia. AKA, Georgia is in deep doodoo long term.

nothing new here, already said it.

Probably has more to do with the PM being a western puppet and Russia being annoyed with Armenia's uncompromising nature regarding Nagorno-Karabakh to begin with

It doesn't take corruption or Armenia's PM being a "western puppet" to explain why the country reorients itself toward the West. What does Russia have to offer them at this point?

Well, the main contributors to this thread will have you believe that Armenia, Ukraine etc. are Putin's unquestionable birthright, and the West is not invited.

Bro are you serious? What does Russia, the biggest country in the world with a massive supply of natural resources have to offer the small country next door that it has extensive historical, cultural and financial ties with?

Here is the quick answer, more than the west will ever even offer them lol.

Western sphere of influence is not undesirable. What is undesirable is forcing it on a country and FAFO. Take Ukraine for example.

Agreed. The local people should be able to pick a side themselves; ideally without anyone's tank in their backyard.

Because democracy is a threat to autocratic dictators.
