So what's your real point? Denouncing the Western propaganda?

My real point? Like why am I in the thread? I value the opinions of some of the posters here and find it fun to mock ignorant reddit warriors who stop in to try and stem the flow of Russian misinformation on this random niche gaming website.

Could you give me some examples of what you consider "Russian misinformation"?

If you want to have a serious debate, why not value the opinion of all posters, even if you might disagree with it?

Recently an exiled Russian opposition, who was a close aide to Alexei Navalny, was attacked in Lithuania with a hammer.

Russia is alarmed by Armenia's announcement they might leave the CSTO in case their security is not satisfied by the Russian led military alliance.
As of now they have frozen their membership.
Russia's responds with its usual rhetoric: Zakharova said on Wednesday that Russia did not object to any country's right to determine its own foreign policy based on its national interests, but said Armenia's behaviour was improper.

Pashinyan, the Armenian prime minister, told POLITICO that Moscow's mission had failed and "as a result of the events in Ukraine, the capabilities of Russia have changed," making it less willing or able to defend its partners. Armenia, he added, is now working with the EU and the U.S. to carry out a slew of democratic reforms and bolster its democracy.

Because I don't value opinions I view as ignorant and I don't engage in good faith discussions with people who I believe are posting in bad faith, were we not as far into this conflict as we are I might be more willing to but as is, I've had these discussions ad nauseum already and seen the arguments for and against my beliefs.

Anyone interested in this conflict has made up their mind as to who is responsible for it, so I'm not going to rehash arguments that have happened a hundred times in this thread already, I read this for updates and laughs now.

Its because Russia was supposed to be their security partner but Russians are busy turning into pink mist in the Donbas.

A lot of these ex-soviet states have been approached covertly by the west (led by the US) with intent to flip them from the Russian sphere. It's really the same story as Ukraine, just Ukraine is much larger, more strategic and was more advanced in the timeline compared to the rest. Fund "pro-democracy" NGO's-> get a foothold within the political sphere -> flip key politicians and judges with money or position of power -> slowly push out Russian interests who have no chance to compete with the damn near unlimited money we can deploy.

Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine, some of the other ones too.

The problem with Armenia is they ended up in a kind of no mans land, and it's sad tbh. They basically are moving away from the Russian sphere thinking the west can and will somehow replace those protections and roll back Azeri gains. They really won't though because Turkey-Azerbaijan are much more important pseudo-allies and key regional players to the west and the west is not likely to do anything.

So today, they are losing territory even territory that the Azeris promised to give back, they aren't giving back. The US or the EU won't do anything to help them with that.

Russia was Armenia's protective power, it was the main reason why Armenia remained a faithful ally until recently. In 2023, Azerbaijan finally took Nagorno-Karabakh and Russia was unable to come to Armenia's aid since their troops were tied up in Ukraine. Since then, the alliance with Russia has outlived its usefulness to Armenia, so they look toward the West in a desperate bid at gaining any sort of clout. (Which will fail, like void already explained.)
