I mean, if your beliefs are basically

"God is somewhere, does things by mechanisms that are indistinguishable from him not acting at all, hands down moral codes based on the moral codes that already exist in that society, and "inspires" change whenever I think it's convenient that he inspired it even though I have no reason to believe that"

Then your beliefs are functionally identical to atheists. It would be the same if we called it God, or invisible unmeasurable non-interacting pixies.

I'd amend it to something like:

at this moment in time i feel like,

God is somewhere (great intro),

is everpresent, this being indistinguishable from there being no god in terms of observation.

Directs the moral code to change as needed based on societal advancement (man doesnt always adhere, sin)

and sometimes inspires people from within and sometimes people misread it and attribute their ability to better themselves to God.

you didn't know that gravity was a force acting on you at all times until someone told you it was, and yet you scoff at the idea of an everpresent god or at least think my non-specificity is unacceptable.

I dont expect Jesus to resist his master, he made it clear slavery is fine.

honestly you're just starting to sound like Fender. you're not even really participating in the conversation when someone offers you a context and you just snark out with a neckbeard response. try a bit harder?

I was actually highlighting the obvious contradiction.

The master slave relationship isnt meaningful, therefore Jesus would have stayed a slave.

If it really wasnt meaningful why would he acknowledge it at all? He would just leave non violently when given the opportunity.

As for your beliefs, its basically an even more wattered down version of "god of the gaps". God changes civilization, but does it through mechanisms that dont indicate a god. Its just tossing on an extra assumption that has no bearing on the outcome.

God makes electricity
Actually voltage differences make electricity
God makes voltage differences
Actually electrimagnetism does
Well God makes that

Repeat ad infinitum, but start with "society advances"

you're applying absolutes where as im safely operating in Schrodinger's box. i dont know what god influences or what god controls, i simply allow that he could control everything or only certain things, and that even though i dont know and never will know it doesnt effect me. because i cannot change it and it shouldnt alter my own moral code.

as to your wierd example if god created the world he created electromagnetism. i fail to see a point.

the problem with the atheist theist debate is it always boils down to a few impasses.

atheists find in unconscionable to worship a god they don't perfectly understand, theists don't mind.

atheists believe there is no afterlife (or at least proof of one) and therefore don't accept that cruelty and suffering in life don't matter. Theists believe eternal salvation/damnation washes a lifetime of suffering in favor of salvation or eternal and unimaginable suffering.

In my experience it usually comes down to theists wanting the 3 omnis, but not being willing to work through the contradictions.

Your beliefs involve a god who likely has none of those, so you probably wont have issues as long as you make that clear.

As for the second impass, if the theist wants to assert the afterlife they need to justify it if they expect the other party to accept actions based on that or the conversation basically terminates then and there.

I dont really have any issues with what you believe because youre functionally an atheist. Where Ill say X happens because Y, youll say X happens because God made Y. Functionally identical, even if you make unsupported assumptions.

the third impasse i'd add would be that assumptions/assertions need to be supported factually. you can't make someone able to believe, unrelated by the way to if they believe. some just can't. its perhaps the most crucial impasse.

i dont know what you mean by justify the afterlife tho.

We live in the best of all possible worlds. Atheists who dispute that are small minded and bitter.

An existence without reference points to suffering or conflict is a literal nightmare. The joy is in being alive, and I'm not sure you could call that life.

can't vouch that enough. a perfect illustration is meeting some entitled cunt who was born with a silver spoon in her twat. they act like a wrong coffee order is an attempted rape.
