my word americans are stupid af.

just handed biden or the dems another 4 yrs. even if trump wins, going to be nothing but a revenge tour of trump self indulgence.

vivek would have been a much better president.

I don't think USA is ready for a Indian President unlike United Kingdom.

Except he’s running in the gop primary, of which easily a third are racist, ignorant and mostly jealous

And the guy is slimy, his age plays against him because America likes slimy white old guys , not slimy young colored

Obama is the literal product of the American dream too. But there will always be grievance in segment of society. Such is life.

Honest question, can you sum up what specifically you dont like about his platform?

i personally worry he's a bit too isolationist, but im also not convinced that america on the world stage has the same scare factor we once did to prevent regional escalations. its possible we crawl back into an entirely domestic hole and nothing changes.

Don’t actually mind most of his platform

It’s the other stuff that makes this a waste of time:

Painfully on the trump dick, but he’s not trump so it backfires since America is brown hesitant. Hate how every 2 sentences he references George Washington or Abe Lincoln. Everything about him screams disingenuous. When you’re fighting against the prevailing notion that Indians are scammers, this doesn’t help.

He’s only campaigning for a job in trump admin imo, so scared to say anything against the base. As an actually fairly conservative guy in some senses, I hate how the gop has bowed down to known scammer

I was /am disheartened Christie didn’t do better

yeah that is just about right. he's got charisma and wastes it on d-riding maga base. imo he came in a cycle too early, he could have run in 2028 as a fresh faced outsider who would carry on a maga legacy, assuming trump himself doesnt lose in 2024 and see another election in 2028. he's young, and has time, and it seems he wasted his best shot on a dead cycle. all for as you said a cabinet spot, and we know cabinet is not a comfortable seat in the trump whitehouse, plus idk what he'd even want in the cabinet. surely not state, maybe commerce or labor?

tbh i never even thought of the indian scammer trope or considered that, but im white so lol.

as to christie, i dont hate his platform or experience, or even him personally, but the dude just looks gross. he can't get off the ground politically because he cant get off the ground physically. he fails the eye test. something about morbidly obese people just harkens corruption i think. he's a modern taft in appearance.

Christie was default of a really sorry bunch tbh.

Trump will walk into 2024 which is what it is. Won’t pay more taxes at least haha

curious to see if the market will rally on a trump win like 2016. price to earning ratios will be wild if so, i dont see any underlying value adders other than potential tax savings boosts. but afaik biden didnt torpedo those measures so idk.
