Both sides have some videos in the past week of armor charging pointlessly into fire unescorted and getting shredded. I'd say its a product of the front lines being chaotic and disorganized, it didn't make sense when Ukraine did it at Robotyne, it doesn't make sense when Russia does it at Avdeevka. Its probably just bad command due to bad intel.

What do you make of the volume of Russian fast jets going down this past 2 weeks? Russians taking more risks to gain air superiority?
Ukraine taking more risks with patriots to gain air denial?

I take it with a grain of salt when AFU's telegram channel posted a video claiming to be a downed SU-34 on March 1st, when the video was already on the internet a week earlier. It showed a patch of burning grass, and geolocation shows that crops were burning in that area all last week in either controlled or uncontrolled burns but not from crashed aircraft unless an SU-34 crashed into the same patch of grass every day for a week multiple times per day.


Its the fog of war, whether Russia makes claims or Ukraine makes claims, I'm always skeptical of anything for which there isn't independently verifiable evidence. Ghost of Kiev and all

Its probable that Ukraine is shooting down more aircraft, but has done so by moving up their anti-air systems and that's why I'm also seeing a huge uptick in videos of AA systems being blown up by Russia. Basically they responded to the Russian advance by trying to interrupt their air cover but its coming at a heavy cost to the defenses that are supposedly in very short supply.

also I'd like to see some geolocations to compare where AA was before this last week and where the AA destroyed and aircraft destroyed are being reported now
the S300 destroyed today was about 25 miles being the front lines, and hit by a medium range missile from Russia, not sure if airlaunched or rocket launcher system.
Hard to tell where if any SU-34 shootdowns actually were, I think there's at least 3 being confirmable but the rest are suspect, I don't see geolocations
