Djunior from the looks of it the West is going to provoke a wider war in Ukraine which will necessitate the increased manufacturing of weapons. So the idea, for now, that Ukraine is being demilitarized, does not hold up with what is being widely reported. Multiple countries are floating the idea of sending troops to Ukraine. There is zero evidence of a rethink or backing down. its simply not on the table.

The Russians know that NATO forces are already on the ground , it’s the western public that’s supposed to be kept in the dark.

There’s something sinister going on at the moment: MSM slyly preparing the public for more direct NATO intervention in Ukraine with, “see, we’re already there and the Russians haven’t nuked us!”

It's been this for over a year. US Special forces were claimed to be there for "training" three months in. Yet those special forces haven't left, and have been filmed on the front lines.

No, I'm not going to post sources, just throwing it out there, confirm it yourself.

He’s right. The money being allocated in these bills is largely recycled to US military contractors, then a good portion that does make it to Ukraine is stolen. Better question for our politicians is if the 100+bn that was sent didn’t reverse Ukraine’s fortunes what’s another 60 going to change? To what end are we sending the money? What are our explicit goals?

Keep US military production capabilities afloat for the next big thing (with China?) and test latest mil tech and strategies in the field without endangering US citizens?

to force Ukraine to pay back in interest for the next 100 years. sorry i mean, for truth justice and the american way ? To bring democracy (provided said democracy agrees with us) to the world (whether the world wants or is ready for it or not).

"on the front lines" eh
Afaik US special forces and contractors have been pretty much exclusively behind the front lines. They've operated missiles and artillery and been involved directly in the battles, but not as foot soldiers storming trenches or holding the front lines. Yet US mercenaries / private citizens have been involved in the latter and several captured by the Russians, who definitely spread the word whenever they capture an American.

US personnel operating the weapons systems that are firing on Ukrainians is definitely the most direct conflict we've had with Russia since maybe the Korean war with Russian pilots, and then they were the ones disguising themselves as koreans. Syria doesn't really count because by the time we had some scuffles we were on the same side of the war.

Anywhere in Donbas is the "front lines". Perhaps we have a different perspective on who is invading whom.

Ukrainian propaganda sources just did a big push claiming Russia is violating the rules of war because of the Russian Red Cross operating in the LPR/DPR/Crimea, saying that only the international red cross is supposed to operate in war zones and the RRS doesn't have permission from Ukraine as a host country to operate in its borders. Because they still lay claim to territories they clearly don't hold, and Russia properly uses the civilian RRS within its own territories and the international red cross on the actual front lines. That's what happens when we get into the weeds of arguments premised in quibbles over territory that doesn't reflect reality. The front lines are pretty obvious on maps, and Russia no more holds all the Donbas than Ukraine does.

i would not expect US forces in Ukraine to be shooting. i would expect them to be directing. Thats my read on the situation anyway.

tbh re: rules of war i dont think it will make the headlines here, the shit happening in Israel is all the focus from western media (european anyway).
