They cite maintenance and providing for domestic demand, but IMO this may be more so to inflate gasoline prices going into the summer peak season. It's also leading up to the US elections, and voters are very sensitive to gasoline price.

Mike Johnson is under attack from all sides and it's completely clear it's because of the Ukraine aid bill.

Johnson is being pressured just like Victor Orban was pressured to follow the party line.
