Putin can stand up at a podium and call it a democracy all he wants. You and I both know Putin wouldnt let himself lose an election let alone allow the government to over rule him in anyway.

Stop being willfully blind just to avoid an L its really pathetic

oh look someone answered for you. Japan was turned into a democracy, after the US dropped nuclear bombs on it and stationed a permanent military base there. 1 down, 11 to go. Ye I guess you showed me lol. If you cant support your statements with facts all you are doing is farting in the wind.

South Korea, but you have to chop off the least (despite the name) democratic part

Today they are all beacons of democracy lit round the globe

With brevity, this made me smile.

While accepting Russia and the US split Korea in half after WW2, I am not sure if it is fair to give the US credit for South Korea (noting they gave us North Korea at the same time). i.e. if South Korea is one of the 12, then I am tended to include North Korea. This is very hard. Japan nuked, korea split in half, the price of democracy is a bit rough.

There are dozens of example of the US invading and making countries/ areas from a regime into a democracy.

Also from an ideological standpoint, why do they have to be democracies ? While often categorized as a democracy, the United States is more accurately defined as a constitutional federal republic. What does this mean? “Constitutional” refers to the fact that government in the United States is based on a Constitution which is the supreme law of the United States.

TLDR: if the US is not a democracy, why does it force democracy on other countries ? via "invading".

you made a claim, you refuse to back up your claim. if you can name 12 countries that the US has invaded and turned into a democracy i will concede the argument. People have already helped you. South Korea and Japan are 2, 10 more to go, best of luck.

consitutional federal republic and a democracy are not two separate identifiable entities. If you went to school you would know that

When tom poole argues that the US isnt a democracy because its aconstitutional republic that is simply not correct and its funny to see this as a hog talking point because again if you knew how english worked you would understand those are not two separate identifiable characteristics

Do you vote on a representative to go to the legislature and push for the changes that you want to see in law? Yes? Its a representative democracy. Thats it. Ya it has a constitution and yes it is a republic but that in no way shape or form means that the constitution and foundation of the republic isnt run as a democracy

your not wrong here, but:

you made a claim, you refuse to back up your claim. if you can name 12 countries that the US has invaded and turned into a democracy i will concede the argument. People have already helped you. South Korea and Japan are 2, 10 more to go, best of luck.
