I am sorry I have not been following this conversation closely.

As I understand it, Russia is a less developed country compared to others, and more developed compared to others. It is a massive country, twice the size of the US (19m sq vs 7m sq) with a population less then half of the US (143m vs 33x m). It does not have a "made in Taiwan" reputation and has been quite introverted, or not relevant / irrelevant, until recently. It has natural resources yes, and if it had a leader who had the same mindset as the Chinese currently, we would see a massive explosion of relevance, productivity etc etc.

The fact that Russia does not do much, (i.e throw its weight around) does not however tell me that it is going the way of the dodo. It just does not have the same motivation as the US. Different culture, different outlook. Finally no one is disputing that the Russian leadership is fundamentally flawed, but the suggestion, that has been voiced repeatedly over the last few years that Russia is finished, is not credible.

Imho it's hardly a country, it's a "federation" of different ethnies, very different people, different religions. Nothing like China (minus uigurs LOL FUCK) , European countries, or even U.S

But we can stick on eastern part: Muscovy , or putin's blood land full of Z. Why you think they send to death all these eastern people, especially these minorities who have tendancies to criticize central power ?

Russia is an Empire much like America just not de jure (yet)

By this loose definition India is also not a country, pretty inconvenient for a billion people.
TBH if you call Russia a federation of regions thats not too far from then saying that the US is a federation of states, with both being respectively, ethnic Russian, or ethnic American.
i.e. semantics.
