Could explain how from Feb 2022 - Sep 2022 the Kremlin claimed only 5,937 soldiers had been kille?
By the way, using phrases like "the walls are closing in" is precisely what dimwit conjecture is. Try not to use that phrase in your explanation.
Ok, so apparently you cant. So let me try to break it down for you.
Just because on the aggregate, the mobilized and volunteer number is higher than the soldier count that are fighting in Ukraine at a given point in time doesn't mean the difference is basically KIA. It could be for a number of reasons but here are two extremely obvious ones if you have above room temp IQ.
1. Soldiers in combat duty rotate. It ranges from military to military but active duty personnel go on tours. 3 month, 6 month 9 month, whatever. So as some go back home, retire, whatever others rotate to front lines. Additionally at this point it's approaching 2 years, so the number rotated in and out in that time span will obviously exceed the current number serving.
2. Of the volunteers and mobilized it's conceivable that not all of those people actually went into Ukraine you get this right? Armies have a ton of logistical domestic positions, recruiting, etc. That doesn't mean 100% were sent to Ukraine to combat duty. So to take aggregate number- number in Ukraine could be capturing people that never actually went there.
Of course the number is higher than 6k but the way the Independent arrived at the 'inadvertent admission' is just lol worthy. So desperate to find wins.
