Void isn't dumb. Like, if you give him a problem he has no personal investment in, he'll make an objective and reasoned conclusion.

But the second there's even a whif of his identity being involved that part of his brain totally shuts down, like a cat that you find on the street and tame well enough to live in your house but goes feral again when it sees food.

In his defense, everybody does it on some subjects. It's just that most people don't actively seek scenarios where they interact on those subjects because cognitive dissonance tends to be unpleasant. I'd love to see Void's brain when we have these conversations, because the part of the brain that causes cognitive dissonance is the same part that makes you think critically, so my hypothesis is he so thoroughly shuts down that critical thinking sector that it also removes his feeling of cognitive dissonance, so he has no problem repeatedly seeking out those interactions.



Infrastructure tends to be concentrated in the places that actually produce things. And in America, the states that actually produce things also tend to vote Democrat. Not much infrastructure needed for rednecks to smoke meth and screw their sisters.

This is how many in the media approach these issues. They just assume the liberal position as fact, and make spurious arguments. Ruhle doesn't make an argument as to why boys who believe they are girls should be able to participate in girls sports, she doesn't consider how girls may be disadvantaged, she just assumes the liberal position and asks the governor for specific examples, and when he doesn't give them because he has other more important matters, brings up WV's low ratings on various issues, as if the governor is spending all his time on this bill.

The governor wasn't the best advocate for his position, but I thought the interview was embarrassing for Ruhle. Of course liberals will love it.
