It's actually not. I have lived in the west for vast majority of my life, I'm a US citizen, my kids are, much of my extended family is and has been for decades. There's literally tens of millions of 1st or 2nd gen immigrants in the US, Canada, that are part of the collective western 'we'.
I understand you're bothered by this, because you cling to some purist anglo-saxon supremacy complex that thinks that these are white lands (oh and only certain shades and ethnic backgrounds of whites!) only for those that have been here for 150, 200 or whatever years but that's not the case.
I'm really glad this bothers you as well. It feels warm and tingly on the inside especially as I accrue wealth and as my family grows. It's really sad though, because people like you instead of looking inwardly and try to better yourselves and think how can I put me and my family in a better place instead externalize and blame some group. Sign of failure.
Interesting perspective, but you are taking it the wrong way. I can feel tremendous amount of pain inside you for the crimes Western powers committed back in 1940s/1950s, I salute your devotion to assimilation. I am just trying to absolve you from this pain and responsibility bro, is all. You don't have to answer for the sins committed by USA prior to your arrival there. Imagine what you would feel if you had to move to Germany tomorrow, you would probably insist to be tried in an Nuremberg court, for Hitlers crimes!
Just take it easy buddy, all I am saying..
