The Soviets saved themselves, and commendably so. Without lend lease, Russian winter and German strategic mistake to move south, that would never have happened.
Britain and the Soviets both benefitted from the other opening a second front, that is true.

US has spent close to 10 trillion dollars to have some partial control of sparsely populated deserts and mountains like Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. I'm simply pointing out that Britain engaged in a two-year conflict against Nazi Germany without the presence of an "eastern front," while Russia supported its "ally". Russia endorsed the ideology of this ally without reservation until the focus of the conflict turned towards Russia itself, resembling a sudden shift in perspective.

Nothing out of the ordinary, just Russia illegally invading and annexing parts of other countries as it always had given the chance.

im a history noob, but i think ofthevoid is correct here. the amount of german troops that didnt go west because they went east instead to fight the soviet union very well could have changed the outcome for the british.
not sure how much more of a connection one really needs...

No my friend, operation barbossa was another attempt by a European power to invade Russia during the winter. Sure the lend lease helped but Russia was always winning that war so long as the allies maintained the pressure in the west.
