I’m 100% confident none of PBS viewers have been to Sakha in their life.

What about World War 2, Northern War, USSR-Japan war of 1939? Japanese got owned so hard they were afraid to attack Soviet Union during the whole WW2.

Well Russia was the one propped up by the western powers during ww2, would've lost like 50,000,000 men if it wasn't for western powers providing them with tech. Irc, one of Russian generals said it himself that Russia would of lost if it wasn't for Western aid.



No idea about Northern War, did Western Powers prop up Japan during the 1939 war?

Well you see - the argument in one of your NAFO Reddit memes immediately crumbles if you start picking it apart. You conveniently skipped Northern War (great big Wikipedia article in Swedish btw).

Japanese were Axis allied and received support from the Nazis (the whole of Europe lol).

WW2 Russia literally fought the whole of collective Europe allied under the government of Nazis.

Land lease kicked in only in 1943 so Russians and Ukrainians had to fight off literal genocidal extermination for two years before they had a fighting chance.

Never forget that Slavs were supposed to be FULLY exterminated or made slaves under lebensraum doctrine. That also includes UPA OUN collaborators.

Why do you say only in 1943? Russia always positioned itself as unbeatable power able to do everything on its own. It just so happened to coincide that Russia started winning the war when the land-lease kicked in as you say. Russia was doing fine bro, giving up all that land to Fascist Germany and losing millions of people in the process was just super smart tactic. All went according to the plan as they say.

Poor knowledge on your part regarding Japan and Germany collaboration.
The bulk of exchange was in design and patents from Germany to Japan. They for the most part fought their own separate wars.

The British empire alone sent over £300 million of aid to the Soviet Union; Adjusted for inflation that is over 20 billion pounds.
You should be grateful for the British sailors that navigated the northern passage to feed your starving great grandfathers.
