Explain the fallacy then.

Throughout history, there's always a group saying: xxx lives matter. In their present, it seems to make sense. But then 2-5 generations later, there'll be the next group saying the same... ad infinitum.

Now if everyone had run around 2000 years ago saying ALL lives matter... we'd be a lot better off today than we are. Instead, we're just onto the next group in a long line of groups.
Focusing on only one group at a time, will just make this go on forever.

Let's use the rain forest vs all forests example.
So what, we save the rain forests but cut down the hard wood forests. Then we save the hardwood forests and cut down the fruit trees. Etc., etc., etc. When will it ever stop.

Here's an idea... let's try ALL Lives Matter. Then in 50 years we won't be onto the next group of people... we''ll have succeeded, once and for all.

We're on to the next group because there's always an object for discrimination. It's a fault of the species. 2 generations ago, it was Jews. Just because discrimination has always happened doesn't excuse it. Fallacious reasoning indeed.

Where did I say, to excuse discrimination?

There's always an object for discrimination because we keep excluding others when we focus on non-discrimination. We only ever focus on one group at a time. When we only focus on one group, we de-focus on all other groups.
This is where we get the next group to discriminate against. It's one of the groups we weren't focusing on the last time. What'll be 50 years from now? Redheads, tall people, Lithuanians?

Time to STOP focusing so narrowly. Time for wide angle. Let's focus on everyone, this time. Let's learn from our mistakes.
