for example, a couple of years ago, a guy in Germany had his eyes shot and almost destroyed by a water cannon during a protest against a local real estate project. his remaining eyesight on one eye is <1%, and ~8% on the other. the case was quite famous around here and led to big discussions across all parts of the public and political sphere.

the point is that water cannons are no joke, not at all!
If those are too aggressive and dangerous what's the alternative when people are throwing molotovs, bricks, destroying other's property, assaulting other people and/or police?
