My understanding of the latest 'story' is that Trump Jr conferred with Trump Sr before putting out a statement on the meeting, which is only prudent, and Trump Sr recommended spinning it as a meeting about adoptions.
The media wants to go with the headline that Trump was making it 'misleading', except the media itself is being misleading, because accurately, the meeting was about the adoption-magnitsky impasse when they thought it was going to be about getting dirt on the DNC/Hillary's illegal dealings in Russia. So the worst thing they can accuse Trump of doing is applying spin to a statement? Jesus christ, its in articles where the journalists themselves are spinning like maniacs by casting accurate statements as misleading, as if they didn't spin everything they get their grubby hands on.

The sheer level of grasping at straws to make that their story makes me thing that the journalists were actually taking notice of the number of "russia narrative has gone dry" stories on reddit and intentionally pushed this contrived story in a last ditch effort to breathe life into the narrative. Its telling that WaPo's social media team was on /r/politics instead of leaving it to their sock puppets. Or you know, actual users.

no big deal. just trump, who claims the meeting lead to nothing (despite coming up with the mysteriously specific 33,000 e-mail number that very day) and he didn't even know about it , dictating his son an alternative narrative how to misrepresent it in the media. a move, sold to his cultists as "transparency", that was forced by the fact that the evil media was about to release the story anyway.

so the trumps keep lying, misleading, presenting alternative facts and narratives, and only ever admit what's proven anyway - you wonder why they do that if they have nothing to hide (like the fact that trump jr. did not go to the authorities when presented with the possibility to get damaging information on clinton from the russian government, but "loved" it and went to the meeting - just like kushner and manafort)...

Mueller has now impaneled a grand jury in the russia probe. Within the last week he also hired a lawyer specializing in fraud. Obviously nothing to see here folks.

The part I don't get is that 3-4 days BEFORE the presidential election....we hear from the FBI that the DNC comps were hacked in early 2016 and there were 33,000 emails lost and/or leaked, and that those emails cast a very negative light on the Democratic party.

Then after Trump wins...we hear nothing more about the leaked emails. All we hear is that Trump colluded with Russia.

Personally, I want to hear about what was IN those emails. Then I will be at least ABLE to decide how I feel about whether Trump Sr. or Jr., did in fact collude with Russia, and if so, WHAT they colluded, about.

Hilary lost, get over it.

Lemme put it another way. I think those mysterious emails will turn out to be proof that the DNC was colluding with Russia to hack the election, in Hillary's favor.
AND, that all this recent crap about Trump colluding with Russia is just a smoke screen so no one looks too hard at the Democrats.


/e I can't see any other reason that no one has come forward with any info about those emails. Except for one guy (Seth Rich) who came forward back when the emails leaked...and HE ended up dead, two weeks later.

Im disagree, when you are aware an external power is jeopardizing elections, when close family & people of your campaign are doing meetings with this external power...
