yes, it is - when it comes to actually FORCING bad actors on any given issue to adhere to international laws.

that said, it's a pretty useful organisation for illustrating who those bad actors are, and how their actions are regarded internationally.

no wonder you hate it so much...

Please keep antisemitism to the containment thread.

The picture only talks by itself, not sure if it's useful to say that "they want to have a say"... Maybe they are all opposed to something instead ?

It's none of their business whether the United States wants to trade with Cuba or not. There is no moral imperative to do business with people you don't like. I suggest that France reach into its own pockets and send over a corresponding amount of aid.

This vote is not on a big topic, like the agression of Ukraine by Russian terrorists, but it's a spectacular isolation.
You can't find excuse when you are isolated like this.

i'm glad i'm not a hateful racist like you, so i know there are many iranians (like narges mohammadi or shirin ebadi for example) who are wonderful people that deeply care about human rights, just like there are israelis who, unlike you, aren't genocidal bigots, or many americans who are well educated, many russians who aren't drunken homophobes, and many brazilians who own shirts...

trying to discredit an individual not based on their actions and opinions, but based on their birthplace, skin coulour, or religion... why am i not surprised you'd do that?

This is peak naivity. Do you seriously think that a high level diplomat, appointed by the government of Iran to represent the government of Iran at the United Nations, isn't politically and ideologically aligned with - you guessed it! - the government of Iran?
So yes, a representative of the Mullah regime being the chairman of the UN Human Rights Council immediately discredits this institution and proves that this body's votes and statements are not a suitable measuring stick for "who the bad actors are".

only if you're too ignorant (or dishonest) to know WHY iran got to chair the human rights council, moronically implying it was because of their impeccable record on that issue - because only then would it be the absurd and discrediting "decision" you falsely suggest it is, hack.

and no, you can most definitely tell who the bad actors on certain issues are by looking at which nations voted how, especially if you have overwhelming unity and just a few outliers.

i mean, the UN has repeatedly called out the systemic human rights violations by iran itself. alongside north korea, china, israel, saudi-arabia, and several other middle eastern states they are amongst the worst offenders ofc.

all that said, you completely missed the point to begin with... unsurprisingly...

fender defends everything as long as it fits the agenda

reverse UN votes to overwhelmingly pro israel and we would get rage rants about how garbage they are
