Entirely plausible. Did you even read where it says killed or permanently wounded?
For reference, the Russian MOD allegedly claimed a KIA ratio of 10:1
"In September 2022, Russia's Ministry of Defence confirmed that 5,937 Russian soldiers had been killed in combat. It also claimed 61,207 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed and 49,368 wounded by this point."
We will never get an accurate figure during the war. Even after I doubt that Russian or Ukrainian MOD's would publish accurate figures of their own losses.
What is certain is the losses are very high for a modern conflict and only likely to increase.

They just all regurgitate the same unsubstantiated figures and it's like a roundabout when you looking at their sources.
UK MOD
Leaked defense documents
Armed forces of Ukraine
Kiyv Independent
"Anonymous intelligence sources"
...and on and on, like a carousel.
What is your best estimate for Russian losses?
