machine guns and muskets are both guns, and when machine guns were invented the definition for guns was altered with regards to firing rate and other aspects.

mRNA changes to the definition vaccines are the same. you can argue mRNA vaccines are unsafe vaccines, but claiming they aren't vaccines at all is silly.

this is one of the talking points that makes people laugh at you. call them unsafe, that's fine, but denying they're vaccines because they're a new kind of vaccine is just laughably stupid.

im aware mRNA vaccines are a new type of vaccine, im aware the official definition was updated to include them, and im also well aware they could be unsafe in long term or have a laundry list of new types of issues related to them because they're new and decades long studies haven't happened yet.

that doesnt mean they "aren't vaccines". history is riddled with vaccines that were proven not to be safe, and abandoned, or updated. mRNA vaccines could well be the same, but they're still vaccines. even anti vaxxers by-and-large get that.

in fact there's a noteworthy chunk of the anti-mRNA vaccines for covid crowd that is against them in large part BECAUSE they're vaccines.
