It's not a policy difference for US officials to object to participating in a nakedly corrupt effort to pressure a foreign government to investigate a president's political opponents. That's not policy, it's self-dealing.

Trump wanted this investigation, by her own admission, back in 2017. Our Ukrainian ambassadors CHOSE to ignore that.

/e The republican representatives, are very careful in their questioning today. Yovanovitch IS answering truthfully, and she has admitted that Trump wanted this done in 2017. She even testified that Obama wanted the gas company and Hunter Biden investigated back in 2014. Then she testified that the US ambassadors decided to NOT carry on with the investigation, but didn't close it... they wanted to keep a hook in.

I'm a little surprised that the Republicans have been so ineffective. So far they're focusing on a couple conspiracies, Schiff, and the whistle blower. They've provided no real defense of what the ambassador went through.

Probably because no one cares "what the ambassador went through". If she needs therapy she should see a shrink.

The repulicans of the House that did question Yovanovitch, already determined, she has ZERO information about the $391 million and ther request that Ukraine re-opens the investigation into the gas company and Hunter Biden.
