What is Elons' stated position related to the war? has he given his opinion?

this did not take long to find: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/09/07/elon-musk-starlink-ukraine-russia-invasion/

You have to find the non paywall equivalent, often yahoo has it, like just have to type yahoo + <topic title> in your prefered search engine.

I think you missed the part where he supported Ukraine when no one else could or would. How quickly be became so hated for not believing unconditionally.

To my mind, Elon Musks view is : He will state his opinion, even if it comes at a cost to himself or his company. People dont like him because he states his opinion.
I did not agree with his tweets related to the diver [ pedo tweet ] and it was shameful that he did not simply say sorry for that. He supported Ukraine when no one else could and now he is questioning the war. I dont see a problem with people questioning the war noting there are alot of bad things happening (such as: people are not allowed to have an opinion other then "Russia Bad").

His intentions are rather ambiguous to be fair.

Nobody wants WW3. But we are already in the early stages.

No source and WP is literally sucking billionaires...

Here's the truth

In october 2022 (So after Russia abandonned Khariv region) Elon Musk proposed a solution:

- hold elections under UN supervision in the annexed regions to decide whether or not Russia should stay
- abandon Crimea to Russia
- make Ukraine a neutral territory

=> In a democratic spirit, the CEO of Tesla let the voice of his 107 million subscribers express his ideas through a survey: “Yes” or “No”. Small, rather unprecedented backlash in the results since the usually adored SpaceX leader was disowned by more than 60% of them.

Btw, why a billionaire, even an ultra-rich would -dislike- the war in Ukraine ?

Conflicts are reducing Billionnaires influence because the state takes priority over... money. Bad Economic conditions can lead to a take over, taxes, even nationalizations. Losing markets from authoritarian countries.

This is pretty clear, some of these guys would clearly chose their own interest over the fate of millions Ukrainians. They can move and build a castle from a country to another anytime.

He has already stated in interviews that he will use his freedom of expression at the expense of any financial loss, to state his views on matters. this means, he accepts that if he wanted more money he would do things differently but he refuses to do or say something that is against his own personal views.

in what ?

If he was a businessman and only looking short term, he should be all aboard lets give everything to ukraine.
if he was worried about ww3 he would not. i know this is hard for some people to understand but elon musk is smart, he gets it.

its probably not safe for me to say it to you that way, lets try flipping it around. what do you think motivates elon musk.
