yes.

=>
"In approximately90% of cases, say human rights defenders and the pensioner's lawyer, the defendants plead guilty, make a deal with the investigation and serve a suspended sentence instead of prison."
=>
Apparently, the woman actively used the Internet, at least she knew exactly how to sign petitions on the president's website.
In 2022, her name, which BBC Ukraine cannot publish due to legal restrictions, was among 87 signatories of a petition entitled "The USA must repent and pay for the coronavirus they created", and in January 2022 - among 14 Ukrainians who signed a petition with the title "Ukrainian people hate Zelenskyi more and more".

Etc

You completely faked the article, and Im not suprised, this is what any ruscist agent like you would do.

You are full of shit pierre, no wonder nobody likes you here. It’s a miracle they still allow you to post on PARD.

I quoted an article written by BBC in Ukrainian that starts with the following sentence:

Quote

Which translates to

Quote

In Chernihiv Oblast, a pensioner was sentenced to 5 years in prison for three insults in Odnoklasnyky. She was accused of "glorifying Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine." Liking the posts in support of the war, the woman automatically spread them on the social network.

You should adress your complaints to BBC instead and shut your mouth.

You deliberately faked this article, this is why here you omitted to link the source:

it's too late for insulting me.

I'll let people juge you.

99 sentences under this article. And only seven of them involved real prison terms - from 1 to 5 years.
In approximately 90% of cases, say human rights defenders and the pensioner's lawyer, the defendants plead guilty, make a deal with the investigation and serve a suspended sentence instead of prison.

The woman used the Russian social network Odnoklasniki, where she had 178 friends. In Ukraine, this social network is prohibited, you can access it only through a VPN.

The pensioner, who was tried in Pryluky, also admitted her guilt and asked not to be severely punished.

But, nevertheless, she was given 5 years in prison

This is like what, 10th time in a row you completely shit your own pants and melted down, humiliating yourself. You are the one insulting me and spreading baseless accusations. I should be reporting you for Flaming and getting you suspended finally.

Nobody takes you seriously anymore, even your fellow NATO apologists. You are struggling to read Google translated articles longer than 3 sentences that do not have any funny memes.

Jesus Christ how can one be so pathetic.

"Nato apologists" ?

You can pick up a silly woman who completely messed up with ruscist comments, and then and claim Ukraine is not a democracy... Why not, it will just make you looking ridiculous.
For 1 example like this: Anyone here can search and find 100 or 1000 sentences, tortures, agressions, or even murders, done on people who criticize the power in Russia.
Trying to put Russia and related authoritarian countries at the same level of the free world western countries is a dead game. Figure out about the "humiliating yourself" ...

You literally failed at reading. There is no coming back from that.

You will have to live with it forever.

I’m not even sorry for you, pierre.

What country is self consistent when it comes to freedom of speech? What would you consider the most free speech supporting country?

Historically, America has been the best/most consistent when in comes to freedom of speech - they had it for a long time and it led to America being the most powerful nation in the world today. It slid back a bit during the cold war (even though you had openly pinko/communism supporters who were not persecuted), then slid back a bit more with the anti-muslim war on terror, then finally slid backwards off a cliff with the openly totalitarian Democratic party silencing all opposition with control of the media & secret police.

Today, it's hard to say which country supports freedom of speech the most. Probably somewhere like Hungary or Poland.

Ukraine isn't perfect for sure; after decades in the Soviet Union and in the "new" corrupted Russia, the damage is serious.
Also, let's not forget they are in the emergency of a complete military agression. This is a survival question.

Anyway, the real substance here lies in the evolution of these human or press freedom indexes in the last few years.
Both sides are going in opposite directions.

Sry i don't have the putin's wikipedia numbers...

Fair, I agree with all of that.
