The collective West is now looking at the Russia Ukraine war long term - out to 2027 and beyond. That means they are now taking a longer view. John already said it that this will be a long war and at best negotiated into a cold peace. 4 plus years max sense but maybe longer.
I told you before the conflict in South China Sea and Taiwan is there about 2031 plus minus 1 or 2 years.
But there is a catch with Ukraine and the FPE is taking a bet. If they subjugate Russia via Ukraine in a way. The probability of Eastern Conflict will be extremely low and China will be choked naturally, it might even force a change of top level officials.
Still going to be the same party, just change management.
Which is going to be a dangerous bet but the returns is nevertheless worth it. So they will try as hard as possible in Ukraine.
