Yup, I did. But I did it out of passion instead of pragmatism. Should have worked as a banker or trader instead. I switch career pretty late, but now is much better.

As above, as long as it is not gender studies degree and you show extreme passion and love for the product you like and you really study it.
Knowledge is key, it takes years of tasting, drinking and sharing with fellow enthusiast.
Meet people , meet industry people. Or you can start by working in F&B but specifically high end establishments.
Switch to distribution after 2 or 3 years.
It is a tough and mostly unrewarding job.
