Peanuts when you read a bit about Staline and Gulag. It's barely inimaginable. Even the lastest Gruuk in Mordor can understand it.

Russia has wonderful propaganda, and nukes, along with an historical 3 days to take Kyiv victory. Oh they also have their own wikipedia lol. Truth must be here.

the Runiversalis article about the "special military operation" repeats the Kremlin's narrative that Russia wants to "denazify" and "demilitarise" Ukraine.

That kind of incoherent rambling was basically these kids justifications for putting sanctions on that poor bloke. “REEEE I Google translated Russian magazine with top10 borscht recipes and it said Putin bad REEEE!”

And that why EU had to apologize later. Just like you had to apologize here for spreading fake news.

Thanks for proving my point again pierre.

Isn't that the far left or far left progressive liberals ethos?

Reeeing , Spreading fake news , spreading liberal hegemony for free.......

And when shit hit the fan..........they all get slammed when the far right take over to correct things in a rather unpleasant way and turn the entire area into some sort of PUBG

That is not true. I can have a 60% ABV Single cask Cask strength or a 60% ABV non Single Cask Cask strength and yet it doesn't " burn".

Highlands divide in to two parts , Highlands in General and Speyside, both are different
Islay and Isle of Skye are similar because of major peat usage for their production. Usually more than 30 PPM of Peat .
Campbeltown have a milky feel on your palate
Orkney Islands are different as well

Yeah I'm familiar, thanks for the geography lesson. If it doesn't burn, you didn't drink enough ;)

The so called BIS for Islay whisky and of course older bottling in the 80s , 90s and early 2000s

Official Bottling

S Tier

Laphroaig 10
Laphroaig 15
Ardbeg 17 ( Japanese Market )
Lagavulin 16

Current Bottling

Just go for

Lagavulin 16
Laphroaig 10
Laphroaig Quarter Cask
Ardbeg 10

All other Islay whiskies are still very good but just not as good as the above. I am talking about standard issues.
I mean if you can get or even taste a 1964 Bowmore dark sherry 1st edition or the Port Ellen reissue back in the 90s and 2000s, well that is another thing altogether.

This is a nice hunting list.

To be honest I just get 1-2 bottles for 50-100€ a year from my local liquor store and slowly socially have them over dinner when friends are over.

I did try Laphroig, but I’m not sure I’m big on smokyness. Last one was Glenlivet Distillers Reserve. Going through Macallan 12 now.

It is entirely possible that sanctions are defined knowing that some of them will be circumvented. In the same sense, it is entirely possible to shape sanctions in such a way as to allow certain absolutely necessary products to pass through.

Sanctions that work at 60% remain sanctions. A Wikipedia article will formally present the sanctions that will be applied but those who define the sanctions know what will slip through the net, at this level it would be necessary for a technocrat to edit the article to add details but this would be a political disavowal .

Yea I love the smokiness. I’m not a fan of the burn. I really don’t like drinking anything above 50%. 43% is just right me- laphroaig is my go to scotch…unfortunately I am Russian and drink about a third of a bottle per sitting if not the whole half. The 16 takes me longer to drink for sure- I would say 5 sittings. I can drink it faster but the 16 I like to savor, no reason to drink it quick. Those 5% make a difference to me. The 30 year laphroaig I spoke off is 46%- that already tells me it is magical.

Not a fan of trying different whisky’s. I have dipped and dabbled when I was younger but Laphroaig is my one true love. Macallen gives me a very angry mood….and off the topic of scotch and to the topic of whisky, I don’t understand how people drink Jameson..

Cheers to you all good ppl

A member of an Internet community supporting Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev holds a pail of beer as she takes part in a performance in Moscow discouraging Russian youngsters from drinking alcohol in public places. The activists are promoting a policy Medvedev enacted in July 2011 which officially classifies beer as an alcoholic beverage to fight alcoholism and to control the sale of the drink.
