A very good and imho realistic article:
https://www.newsweek.com/we-can-no-longer-hide-truth-about-russia-ukraine-war-opinion-1826532

Quote
As leading American politicians, generals, and pundits continue advocating for open-ended support to Kyiv in their war against Russia, a sober, accurate analysis of Ukraine's nearly completed summer offensive reveals that the heroic sacrifice Ukraine continues to make is producing little to no meaningful progress toward the objective of evicting Russia from Ukraine's territory.

Quote
If it wasn't clear to Washington before the offensive started that the fundamentals of combat operations and principles of war indicated Ukraine would likely fail, it should now be crystal clear. Although Ukraine appears to have finally penetrated the first line of Russia's main defense, the most difficult part of Russia's defensive system has yet to be overcome [...]

It is unclear at this point whether Ukraine has enough striking power remaining in its offensive forces to reach, much less penetrate, Russia's second main line—beyond which is a third main line followed by a fortress-defense at Tokmak, which is still 75 road kilometers from the Azov coast. Given these realities, the best Ukraine can likely do for the rest of the year is to hold what they have and prevent the possibility of losing more territory to a potential Russian counteroffensive this fall.

Quote
The United States, however, would be wise to adjust its policies to reflect the reality of Ukraine's slim chances against Russia's fortified lines. Washington has spent nearly $113 billion over the course of this war, provided Ukraine with an astounding volume of modern arms and ammunition, and delivered an impressive array of training and intelligence support. After almost a year of preparation, it hardly dented the Russian lines.

There is no realistic basis, therefore, to believe that Ukraine has the capacity to attain its stated strategic objective to reclaim all its territory, including Crimea. What is realistic is to continue providing Kyiv with the military wherewithal to defend itself from further Russian incursions.

The walls are closing in on Ukraine

The hysteria is setting in for Zelenskyy, much like Adolf Hitler in his final period

Zelenskyy has successfully antagonized Poland in a hysterical meltdown into dropping their support

If Ukraine wants to retain statehood as a rump state, they need to remove this guy ASAP

Interesting events going on.
It seems Żelensky made a deal with Brussels EU HQ about how Ukrainian trade with Poland/Slovakia/Hungary should look like.
And nobody in Brussels asked Poland and other Ukraine neighbours about it.
Much arrogancy from Brussels... Could be they made promise too early, and were sticking to it.
I might kind of understand Żelensky, he probably thought he was good, Brussels allowed him unlimited trade with Poland, so it must be very .dissapointing to hear that Poland puts some conditions and there wont be unlimited trade after all.

For some "diplomatic" and "traditional" reasons France communicates little or not at all on the equipment that it gives (or sells) [to Ukraine or others].
Here it is the "multi-task" Mirage 2000 fighter (maybe 40 units, not sure) able to carry long range missiles. Some are already flying in Ukraine, and pilots are training since at least 6 months on it.
/e seems they tested it for a while, and now are signing the agreements.

"Opinion" article. The comment with the "$113 billion" seems completely delirious, as "realistic" as saying: air defense should have been used to advance on the frontline, all the equipment have been used, or that russian material losses are non existant.

No, IMHO there's a political campaign atm (that's an important point) and this is more likely a political game.
Poland already gave alot of weapons to Ukraine and is holding alot of refugees so it now needs to arm itself, at least.

Unfortunately Poland is still a bit of a conservative hole, much friend with U.S since last Trump's visit  Sad.

the pink elephant is still in the room, washington never cared for one second about a successful offensive

i dont believe for one second that actual experts really expected this to work, its total nonsense

all that matters are human and material losses for russia

The US claimed that Ukraine blew up Nord Stream. Independent Journalists say the US did it. The idea that Russia blew up their own pipleline (when noting Bidens video "we will end it") holds little water. Therefore it can be inferred that Germany was to a degree not happy about this. Germany and Ukraine have had a troubled relationship during the war, and it could be argued that Ukraine is ungrateful "how dare you withhold X items, all we did was blow up your infrastructure".

In relation to Poland and Ukraine, Poland has ever been the tool used against Russia (by the US) and has ever chomped at the bit, lets move our armies into Ukraine (hint: they really dont like Russia) lets fight, WW3 lets go. It's difficult to determine the fallout relating to the current argument between Ukraine and Poland but similar to Ukraine and Germany I dont think it will have a profound impact. Ukraine is fighting for its survival and Zelensky has repeatedly stepped on allies toes when he believes they could do more for him and his country. In this regard he is not a great peacemaker. But Ukraine is trying to do the impossible, reclaim all its land etc. In order to do that it is pushing its allies and bankers as far as it can to get what it needs to achieve its goals. In this regard zelensky has proven to be an amazing charismatic figurehead not comparable to any other leader of today.

TLDR: i dont see a change in policy within Poland relating to this, they are just pissed off that he appears ungrateful. They have their own interests and so does Ukraine and they wont always be aligned. This is the reality.

I think further down the road the US / EU will step in to appease Poland so they will publicly make statement to "support " Ukraine again.
A show of dissent amongst EU members at the moment will show the US Led Coalition to be weak thus affecting the elections next year.

What do you think?

Or do you think the US / EU citizens are war weary to a point where they are thinking otherwise?

Poland Seeks to Mend Ukraine Rift With Arms Supplies U-Turn

Like I said previously, political campaigns...

I guess ruscists will be disappointed.

My position is: EU citizens are pretty much irrelevant. The narrative in the media will shape the strategy and the narrative is provided by Western leadership. It is clear that the US and Ukraine and the West is NOT war weary. They are preparing for next year. I already gave my views on what would happen next year - a massive increase in fatalities and escalation (all sides) and it getting worse the following year.

i really dont mind giving my views and being proven wrong. I hope to be wrong but everything about events is pointing to this escalation.

Absolutely I think everyone counts on a peaceful collapse or transition to a less nationalistic regime in Russia.

Let's not forget Putin invited oligarches in Staline's house in the 2000's... Instead of the presidential Datcha.
