Whitaker says the Mueller investigation is close to being completed. I'm not sure what to make of this... it matches some reporting we've seen(from NBC and others) that the probe is close to finished. Here's some reasons I don't think it's true:

1. They just indicted Stone, and that court case will take months. I suppose it's possible they hand it off to main justice. Also, there seems to be information in the Stone indictment that hints at some sort of coordination. It wasn't necessary for Mueller to include that information to back up the charges he filed.
2. Don Jr. and potentially Erik Prince almost certainly lied to Congress. That's another indictment and trial at least.
3. What happened with George Nader? The guy tied to foreigners who was granted immunity to cooperate with Mueller.
4. Why did Mueller lavish praise on Cohen's cooperation? They already had the documents which showed he lied about the Moscow Project. So what did he give them?
5. Gates continues to cooperate. Why is his sentencing delayed? It can't just be some FARA case.
6. The Andrew Miller case is ongoing. The mystery foreign company case is ongoing.

I don't take the reporting of NBC lightly, but things just aren't adding up. It's hard to see how we're at the end. I guess if we are, and conspiracy indictments aren't going to fly, thank God all of you were such pussies and didn't take my FG bet.

I would think that just means info gathering is nearing a natural conclusion. Court time not included in that.

Above anything i think the sad truth is the democratic party do need the longest possible shitstorm, which is almost a guarantee for them to get the next presidency.

Why would you think a long, dragged out investigation will guarantee a democratic win in 2020? What's your reasoning for that?

i'll answer on behalf of us cultists. it's a lot bigger a subject than something easily written. i'll give you the jist, but if you are actually curious... go watch those SC interviews including Wray/Rosenstein, Strzok.

it was the IG's report on the handling of the clinton and trump cases in the fbi. it ended with a very odd choice of words (that msm twisted a bit more to deny everything), but everything stated in the report itself had found numerous issues with the handling of the clinton case and start of the trump case.
hilary was interviewed by peter strzok, but strzok called ahead of time and suggested wiping data from hard drives. (this is not the only issue with this just 1 example)

i was planning on re-watching these interviews again soon. if you plan to watch them you can literally skip every democratic speaker. they do not ask any questions related to the issue, all of them just bitch about ICE. (not even joking)

in short though, hilary got super special treatment for actual crimes that got swept out and ones that was never looked into. she was even charged in a circumstance, but fbi met with her lawyers to change the charge. i'll have to get back about which specific charge it was, but i remember it meant the same thing. only 1 was a criminal charge and 1 wasn't.
i'd also like to remind you that the kick-start to this investigation against trump was paid for by the clinton foundation. (that alone is pretty messed up giving the circumstance they were both running at that time)

trump is also current standing president. you might not like it, but you can't just drag him on investigations whenever you feel like it. if that was the case, dems would keep him in a court-like setting his full term.
if evidence was found of "trump" rigging the voting system in an astronomical way that stole the election, he wouldn't be keeping his seat.

in fairness though. hilary had a 15minute fbi investigation on her. trump has had 2 years with an investigation still on-going. so you could ask why the fbi didn't bother actually investigating her.

Lolwut? The Benghazi investigation ran longer than the Trump-Russia one currently has. And Clinton was the focus of it.
