Yeah, overwhelming majority of people in Ukraine and Russia do not speak English well enough to post coherently so they prefer not to. Russian subforum has quite a bit of both, although I'm not very comfortable with the amount of Z guys I've seen there. They seem to have been cleaned out recently.
I'm assuming you are talking about United States here. I think the problem there is Atlanticism doctrine where United States has sold itself as world protector and have played that self-appointed role for decades, buttering it up with hollywood-esque propaganda labeling people dictators and authoritarians subjugating the little guys, before promptly bombing the shit out of them. I've listened to the speech of Dwight Eisenhower recently, which has forewarned about US military shaping US foreign policy. It sounds prophetic in 2023.

Several posters have mentioned that removing Saddam and Gadaffi, who were undisputed tyrants, opened an even bigger jar of worms with jihadists uniting to sow terror in the region and abroad. Was it worth it?
I lurk there once in awhile, I can't communicate in Russian well enough to post there but I do find it funny how much it mirrors this thread some days. Obviously the people there are much more educated on the topic but it does devolve into the whole "no YOU'RE a nazi" thing quite a bit
I'm actually from Canada but there is less and less distinction IMO, our worldview is largely formed through the lens of US media/culture either purposefully or indirectly as a consequence of everyone being "plugged in" 24/7 and the majority of English media being produced there. I think this is also happening in every western country to some extent but Canada is particularly vulnerable to its affects for a variety of reasons. I know the Eisenhower speech you are talking about, it is eerie to read it nowadays.
I think the problem is deeper than just a certain policy or style of politics, it is a bit philosophical to get into here so I'll just cliff notes it as I think western civilization is dying if not already dead and all of the chaos, division and conflict we are seeing in the world is a consequence of that to some extent. My views line up a lot with what Oswald Spengler wrote about Western/Faustian civilization in his books "The Decline of the West" if you have ever read those, if not they are very interesting.
