The real source is Russian TV. IMHO the reality is much more desesperate:

Putin's support among the population is at its lowest point, the russian gov is pushing further authoritarianism and militarism to keep control.
Being against the whole west, victimizing, is THE excuse, the "reason", to proceed. Putin is reducing freedom since a while, but it recently accelerated by alot.
I'm not sure they will succeed, I sincerly hope not. We will see soon enough if the russian people will really end up like slaves, like in North Korea.

At this point I even asked myself if the agression/annexation attempt was deliberately decided for this reason... But.. It doesn't work well:
Russia fired 11 millions rounds while being able to produce 1-2 millions per year. Following reasonable sources their -artillery- is still inferior in performance (range & precision) and now they have lost alot of their -artillery radars-.

Next step seems more nukes threats and shitshow, like NK. And cowdung galettes ofc.

Russia can produce artillery shells, without question. Its entire military doctrine is about setting up and firing masses of unguided shells.
The fact that Kiev did not capitulate and the war didn't end in a matter of days Means they probably need time to get manufacturing onto a satisfactory level.

That been said you know something is dysfunctional when your leader is publicly celebrating the Kim family dynasty in exchange for military hardware, allegedly.
