A note on oil.

Brent Crude prices recently spiked to ~90usd/barrel from around 84, with OPEC+ announcing further supply cuts. Biden's admin has been trying to keep a lid on oil prices by tapping the SPR at an unprecedented rate and this cut pretty much undermines that completely. It's a continual losing battle for the admin because SA plays such a huge role and they have really not been cooperating (by pumping more). The further cuts also undermine western sanctions on Russia, you can check the below article for more detail, but the gist of it is Europe and many other places need oil and Russia by limiting supply hurts those that imposed the sanctions.

Oil prices are a huge factor for inflation, which we're seeing tick back up again in the US. We're also entering an election year and both SA and Russia can strongly impact the outcome if Americans are paying 5 bucks a gallon, which honestly, if China starts to grow again is not that outlandish.

Yes, reality. Pay attention

- Western military hardware is burning up in Ukraine instead of crushing the shovel guys.
- Western military tech falling into the hands of the Russians is a huge concern (explain why the UK is scared shitless that the Russians salvage a challenger if you think that's not the case.)
- Ukraine is getting wrecked, all "aid" to Ukraine has only made things worse and prolonged the war.
- Ukraine is losing a generation of young males and Zelensky is now eying 16 and 17 year olds to bolster the ranks.
- Sanctions failed and backfired spectacularly, RIP EU manufacturing industry and RIP households.
- Russia is basically demilitarizing entire NATO, absorbing everything that was thrown at them and Ukraine is now in need of another army (the third or fourth?) after the counteroffensive that was meant to take Crimea failed.

BTW Ukraine is now 100% supplied and funded by the West down to the government officials salaries which is the only reason Ukraine didn't fall in the first months btw but you know that.
