Not even going to check your source because Russia has produced those aircraft successfully since 1967
Your speculations and "satellite image" do not change those facts. Desperate much?

Russia is hardly able to produce even a few while "a significant portion of the Il-76 fleet manufactured during the Soviet era has reached the end of its operational life and requires replacement."
So that's it: several of these transporters have been destroyed by $3500 cardboard drones, and your words will not repair that anytime soon.

How desperate are you.

Russia manufactures these aircraft. The plants are in Russia. If they salvage parts from old planes that are no longer used, that's just common sense. You think Ukraine doesn't do the same?

I guess you're going to tell me that the sanctions crippled Russia, that there are no BRICS countries (including China and India) and Russia is completely isolated that's why they can't produce planes anymore.

Just like they can't produce missiles anymore since April last year ^_^

From what I read Russians can produce about 12 IL-76 models per year and modernize/repair unknown amounts. 350+ are currently in service domestically.

Russia can probably produce aircrafts (and other products...) but it is very certainly much more challenging than before 2022.
I think they can get spare parts but at highter prices or lower quality, while lowering their security standards. And sometimes, maybe more than sometimes, they simply don't have access to these parts.

Russians to liberate themselves from this stupid regime, that's the best i can wish to them.

$3500 cardboard drones vs II-76 Kaput x 4 <=== anything you can't understand ? lol

"will allow 12 per" year and the article is pre-war. Seems Production is probably close to 5 like ukrainians are saying.

The Russian Ministry of Defense was dissatisfied with the aircraft’s production output and had even urged manufacturer Aviastar to increase output. As of early 2021, nine aircraft in total had been built.

Btw sanctions are half working, like a slow poison, that's it.

Its all relative and unimportant. For all its manufacturing potential, Russia can't produce a miltary victory against a neighbour 1/3 it's own population.
So it settles for a frozen conflict and striking civilian targets.

Proven to be a second rate military and a first rate terrorist dictatorship.

I really don’t understand where did you get the whole cardboard drones thing from.

You really shouldn’t trust UA propaganda articles. Be a critical thinker.

Russia was able to produce up to 12 at one UAC location as per this article before the war without foreign components (UAC is under EU/US sanctions since 2014). If anything their production capabilities should increase as they are showered in cash by the military budgeting to push out production.

Anyhow there are more than 350+ left domestically and more can be purchased back.

I feel like you are grasping at straws here. Losses happen, stuff will get blown up.

The real question is - where did the drones come from?

Really liked Joe Rogan - #2025 with Dave Smith. Listened to it at the gym yesterday and today.

They went quite in-depth on Russia/Ukraine conflict. It’s 3.5 hours so don’t feel pressured to listen to it in one sitting.

TLDR: I’m glad some people are waking up to the circumstances and realities of what has transpired and I hope a resolution of this conflict is in sight. Learned a lot of new stuff - eg who Victoria Nuland husband is and why should we care.

Re-read your article: 12 per year was a target not a result. In the same way you are talking about 350 planes...

https://en.defence-ua.com/industries/how_many_il_76_aircraft_are_destroyed_and_what_does_it_mean_for_russia-7786.html

While the figure of 6 aircraft might appear modest, within the so-called VK there are a total of 110 Il-76 planes. This implies that a single strike has effectively incapacitated 5.5% of these aircraft.

As of the beginning of 2023, russia officially reported achieving a production rate of five Il-76MD-90A aircraft per year over the previous year. Consequently, this drone attack has essentially nullified the annual record production of these planes.

So no, i'm sorry, i don't think they do 12 and i don't think they have 350 (at least of this category) in reserve.

you have a nice article here

https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/moment-of-drone-attack-that-destroyed-il-76s-at-russian-base-seen-in-infrared-image

“We are working from the territory of Russia,” Budanov told us, though he would not specify whether the attack was carried out by GUR personnel or Russian partisans"

The $3500 drones which are in range and designed for this were exposed to the public at the same time. Weird hu.
