Not what I said at all, but OK.

You can have reasonable people take issue with certain aspects of some issues without buying wholly into the underlying conspiracy. Example: It's not out of the realm of normalcy to believe that there were some discrepancies with how certain things occurred with the 2020 election without going full Lin Wood/Sidney Powell. Or, you can believe that G. W. Bush took advantage of the opportunity that 9/11 provided to expand combat in the ME into Iraq, without believing that Bush was behind the 9/11 attacks or the Truther BS that surrounds that.

All of which I agree with. I wasn't necessarily disagreeing with your point, merely stating that a lot of the "sourced research" people utilize is often based on poor sourcing material.

And I'd point out that part of the problem when you get into 2020 election irregularities is that both sides will claim you're crazy if you don't agree with a completely crazy conclusion. The fact is that every election cycle has irregularities and fraud. They're typically proven to be one-offs and such that would have no impact on something as large as a Presidential Election. So, if I say to the Trump Voters, "Look dude, 99.99% likelihood Trump legitimately lost" I'm crazy. If I say to anti-Trumpers "Look dude, there's fraud and irregularity in every election. There's a 99.99% chance there was in this election as well." I'm crazy. This is the problem with people who claim conspiracy. Nothing I'm saying is unreasonable or factually incorrect. But apparently rather than taking a reasoned look, I'm supposed to simply accept that either there was totally damning widespread fraud and irregularity, or there was no fraud or irregularity at all. Both of those conclusions, however, appear to be false conspiracy theories themselves. Not going to opine on 9/11, because at this point, the topic is played out. Time to move on.

Yeah, I wasn't bringing up 9/11 in any fashion other than as an example of my point (and not putting you or anyone else in either camp, although it appears that TiStuff has jumped into the Truther camp already).

When conspiracy theories become substantiated they stop being called conspiracy theories, so it depends on your definition.

Like, I think it's pretty obvious that the media is manipulated by corporate interests to eliminate any consideration of opinions that would seriously change the status quo. This was done all through the 2000's by oil companies advertising to dissuade serious coverage of climate change because it would affect advertising dollars of the station and continues to be done by eliminating any discussion of serious changes to our current capitalist model.

Sinclair broadcasting group has made a specific effort to buy local stations and air conservative propaganda on them.

Both of those would be conspiracy theories, but they are well substantiated so they aren't called "conspiracy theories".

oh please spare me the demagoguery  EVERYTHING is a theory. hell, tomorrow quantum electrodynamics could be proven wrong, it doesnt happen because no one came up with anything better, but it might! so everything is a theory, and every theory about conspiracy is a conspiracy theory <_< and if you wait for a theory to be substantiated enough in order to start believing in it, they you will never create any on your own because you lack imagination and belief, and are the very definition of a midwit :( not saying that to you in particular, im speaking in general.

but basically you are just a leftist  you do believe conspiracy theories, just different ones  !

like i said, anything anybody else believes will automatically be a "conspiracy theory

That's pretty ridiculous. Contradictory claims are only conspiracy theories maybe 1% of the time. When somebody told me Russia had more billionaires than the United States I didn't label it a conspiracy theory. I just showed him an article on my phone that said how many are in each and he was like "oh okay". If he had then said "that article is a lie because American millionaires want to control where people think money is" that would be a conspiracy theory because it would be a group of powerful people working together in secret for some nefarious goal.
