I never made a conscious decision to not believe, at least not that I remember.

Just some day I realized that I didn't believe in God (Christian or otherwise). I can think up of many justifications (all of which you will argue, so never mind that), but the main reason for my atheism is that I just don't believe. If that makes sense...

Not sure that's a sign of growing closer to accepting theism. But at least it makes for more pleasant conversation.
