pretty sure the motive of that is still not 100% clear, despite the classification by the FBI (which has a troublesome history with failing to acknowledge right wing domestic terrorism btw) - there was plenty of conflicting information about the incident. that said, i'd happily give you that, because it's entirely irrelevant for my argument.
the point i was obviously trying to make (as should be obvious to any halfway intelligent and honest person) is that while people on the right keep crying and clutching their pearly about the evil 'violent left', in reality the much greater danger are terror acts and political violence perpetrated by RIGHT wingers. do you contest that, or are you just trying to smear sources again to deflect from the actual point, as is so common with far right hacks these days?
In Western countries, right-wing violence has been the more deadly source of extremism in recent decades. (Not exactly sure how it compares to islamism on a per capita basis.)
This doesnt, however, mean that left-wing extremism is historically the less dangerous type of extremism. Over the 20th century, the body count of left-wing and right-wing extremism is actually pretty even.
The numbers for murder also dont necessarily translate to ordinary violence. Speaking in general terms, the right being overrepresented among deadly violence doesnt rule out the possibility that the left might be worse on non-deadly violence. I dont think they are, just pointing out the limited meaningfulness of murder statistics.
Irrespective from all of that, the surge in antifa violence and in attempts by far-left activists to silence conservative voices are highly problematic and deserve to be addressed.
