Bunch of people who can't differentiate between reciprocity and escalation.
it is reciprocity but it is also escalation, noting each tit for tat escalates the war. you were in the army right ? surely you understand this notion?
the US government had until recently been very careful not to support attacks against russian soil, as they were unsure how russia would respond.
we are now in a phase where this reluctance is being reduced somewhat. the russia's do not appear to have responded heavily and therefore the expectation is that ukraine will carry out more and more strikes like this.
it remains to be seen what comes of these actions, but they are an escalation, and it leaves the door open as to how the russians will, in turn, escalate the conflict further.
its the same as the f16's, they are an escalation of the conflict, and again, it remains to be seen how russia responds (escalates).
