He failed to mediate those differences the day Prigozhin tried to lead a coup. The survival of Prigozhin after the coup failed was trumpeted in Western media as proof of Putin's increasingly weak grip on power. The question is not whether the coup and aftermath was bad for Putin, it most assuredly was , it's a question of whether letting Prigozhin live was better than having him killed. Killing him was clearly the preferred outcome.
He didn't manage to resolve the problems between Prigozhin and Shoigu, representing the regular army faction. Now it's resolved, but the opposing force has also been revealed to the public.

once again ignoring everything that happened after the maidan revolution ^_^
ukrainian nazis tried to purge russian language and culture there
I guess you are trying to trigger people with these two horrible false statements. Congratulations.
- Revolution & parliament vote against traitor president is not a "coup"
- Russia is more "nazi" than Ukraine and russification, ruscism, aren't a culture.
