Most really unintelligent people can't get through serious education, even with a major work ethic and supports. Education is definitely a good way to see who is who at least...a good metric. I wouldn't say it measures raw intelligence but it measures ability and capability which intelligence is just one component of. I know a chemical engineer who is trained as a patent lawyer and he is unemployable because of his toxic personality. So his MS and JD make him even smart and capable, but still the vast majority of people are happier or at least more functional. My friend, dude's cousins, is just a lowly nurse doing ok for himself.
So to reinforce your point it is a bit more complicated than education = smarts = rich.
Also I would challenge the rich = happy internal logic if that is what is there.
I don't get this bashing on nurses, whats the need for saying lowly nurse? As for the rest of the post, the quality of education (for example how a course is taught) will impact results which means its not always just the reflection on a students ability if it was taught badly
