Irrelevant. The sun existed before the Earth too, since we're now changing the subject.

So the Earth belongs to Solar's system. In the same way Kiyv existed before Moscow...

The fact that Ukraine has been in civil war since the illegal coup against a democratically elected government.

Totally incorrect; It was a constitutional vote.
Ukraine’s parliament voted 328–0 (about 73% of its 447 members) to remove President Viktor Yanukovich, who abandoned his Kiev office.
The "president" had to flee to his mother Russia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viktor_Yanukovych#Fleeing_to_Russia

I'm happy to learn something new, but even if one considers the War in Donbas to be indicative of "a nation divided in civil war", it doesn't mute Ukraine's independence and sovereignty outside of that region. And further, I don't see how one can hope Russia wins this war given that Russia is not simply seeking to capture and secure the Donbas region, but is targeting the whole of Ukraine.

There can be an argument that the part of Ukraine that is governed by the side supported by the West is itself sovereign, and the same can be argued for the part of Ukraine that is supported by Russia. And both the West and Russia have used these arguments to recognize their respective regions and ignored their opposition and refused to recognize their opposition. That isn't a solution to anything it's effectively just 2 assholes fighting each other by pushing a pair of defenceless children into each other. Or more than a pair. I vaguely recall there were 2 different governments arose in the East following the coup not just 1. But really that's beside the point.

I don't believe Russia wants Ukraine. I don't believe they really even want Donbass or Crimea but strategically they cannot let them go. But they definitely don't want Ukraine entire. That would cause them nothing but problems forever. Basically Israel and Palestine issue. I don't think for a second anyone in authority in Russia doesn't know it.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titushky

Titushky were employed by the Yanukovych government with a reported daily pay of 200 hryvnia. Some of them were also suspected to be illegal formations of combat troops carrying concealed pistols. Their aim was to intimidate and disperse demonstrations by opponents of the government, and attack participants and representatives of the media. The term is sometimes translated as "Rent a Thug."

Lies. Noone in the contested region got a vote, the election was a sham.
Also, Africa was populated before anywhere in Europe. So Africa owns Kiev. Your logic.

Don't know what this is but if you try to make a point that the government tried to stop these protests then yes of course the government tried to stop the protests because they didn't want a coup and didn't want war with Russia. Smart people.

Look what you got now and you believe it's better this way

According to an April 2014 poll conducted by the Razumkov Centre, only 4.9% of respondents would have liked to see Yanukovych return to the presidency
