Its one of the problems of Western politics, it has moved away from being plain spoken. It makes no logical sense, noting on the international stage to prevent misunderstandings, being plain spoken should be a godsend. Instead what we are seeing is people crying foul when russia in particular does what it says. understand I am not saying that what Russia does is right or wrong, I am talking about making a commitment, and sticking to it.

This is one of the reasons why the US image was shattered when they pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal. On the international stage if you say you are going to do something, commit to it, and then break it, it undermines your position.

Maybe because the USA says. we are going to do this.................but..........you didn't read the terms and conditions properly and in case of force majeure, we will be doing this this this and that that that.

no, they literally changed their mind after agreeing to the deal. a bit like the UK and brexit (sorry, brexit is the gift that keeps on giving around here).
